Fun to see you chose the Chihuly as your fave shot of the year. I love the colors and since it was created by a Seattle artist, it makes me feel at home even in Tempe.Hope 2009 will be a wonderful year for you!-KimSeattle Daily Photo
I remember this very well because it is similar to a Chihuly chandelier in the foyer of the MIA (Minneapolis Institute of Art) museum foyer. My grandson and I watched its many pieces being assembled by the Chihuly minons. What a talented man he is, and how smart of you to choose this photo!Greetings for the New Year, and I wish you much happiness and good health for 2009. Kate of Visual St. Paul and Mazatlan, Mexico.

great pic and wonderful artist!
Oh my!! This one jumped at me from the portal: we had a Chihuly exhibition at the New York Botanical Garden here, two or three years ago. It was magical how the landscape, the plants interact so perfectly well with these beautiful piece. I remember vividly snapping a picture of that very same piece, which they installed in a pond. The reflection in the water was just so fun!A very Happy New Year to you! Bonne année! :)
